When a deer picks up your scent or spots your movement, they typically snort or blow, raise their tail straight up, and then quickly leave. The raising of the tail communicates to other deer that they may not be safe. Deer also communicate with their tail by quickly wagging it 3 times before they take a step, to let other deer know it is safe and okay to proceed. Deer are always very aware and nervous, but they are curious enough to check things out and if they feel it is safe, they wag their tail 3 times to let others know. 

 

I created the Deer Reeler® to mimic this tail movement so you can essentially calm down a spooked deer, keep them relaxed, and even reel them in to get the ideal shot. Through years of research and testing, I have developed the Deer Reeler® to provide deer hunters, like me, with a cutting-edge tool to enhance their hunting experience and provide them with a strategic advantage in the field.
